“Is the Lightning connection flexible to use with a case on the phone, or will I have to take the case off?”

• it is flexible and fits on my 6s and ipad with their cases on.

• I did not have to remove my case in order to use this product, but you may have to if you have one of those really thick phone cases. My iPhone case is not a thick case, so the device connected easily.

• you have to take it off, that's the only down side of it

• I didn't have a problem as the current case on the phone doesn't cover the connection or the bottom of the phone.
