• Yes, it acts just like a regular flash drive. It just has the added benefit of a lightning jack.

• The answer is No, No, NO. I just purchaded (& returned) one of these devices exactly because it does not transfer or store text files or emails. How do I know this? Well, after transferring some photos & my contact list (which is very easy to do), I could not find a way of transferring some text files. Following some frustrating struggle, I hit the “chat” button to ask Sandisk for help. When I explained my desire to store text files, I was immediately informed thst it can’t be done any of the Iphone flash drives, regardless of make or model.
