• It will give you twice as much storage. Depending on how many pictures you take, especially if you shoot any video. you may run out of space quickly.

• Hi Kenny, although your Nikon D5500 came with a 32 GB card, that card may fill up rather quickly with the size of the HD photos you're able to take on your camera. I purchased this card to take videos of our underwater adventures with a GoPro but if you're utilizing your camera a lot, 32GB can fill up fast. Most cell phones have a minimum 16GB - 32GB.

• It's a faster and bigger memory card. This is the best kind of sd card you can get in terms of the class. It's has a fast write and read speed.

• If you want or need the additional capacity, get this card. If 32GB is enough, then you don't need this one.

• I have the Canon EOS T6i camera that just came out. I was using the 32 GB card that came with the camera and noticed it was sluggish. When I asked about the Pro-cards, a professional photographer took the time to show me how the 64 BG card added speed and superior picture quality. The professional cards are the way to go. I got very lucky and caught a super sale at Best Buy! It is the way to go!!

• Depends on your needs, if going on vacation you might want more space for more pics! We went on Alaska cruise and took over 1500 pictures.
