“I am attempting to build my first computer and need a bootable flash drive to load a Windows 8.1 iso file as my OS on the new computer because I won't be including an optical drive as part of the build. Will this flash drive work for that purpose?”

I used this drive for Windows 7, 8, & 10 to install via the ISO file. No issues at all, just some computers won't boot via USB 3.0 so if you have a problem try using a USB 2.0 port on the computer.
