Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. It works and you can leave it in the slot all the time to use as an additional drive. I got Pro 1st gen. and now Surface Pro 4. It really helps to expand the storage space. I keep all the documents in the micro SD card.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It certainly can be used in a Surface Pro 3. Once inserted its recognized and available to use instantly. I've personally used it for storing games downloaded from Steam and constantly leave it plugged in so long term use is not a problem.
