You don’t need to move the bracket that is attached to the wall but you do have to loosen and move the arm extender part that hangs on the wall attached bracket. Loosen the hex screws at the bottom with the Allen wrench and carefully slide the arm extender part to where you need it. We chose not to remove the tv, hence the ‘carefully move’ comment. It was too heavy for us to lift it again. But if that’s an option for you, it’s a very easy fix.

To do so you will need to open the covers, loosen the securement screws and then side the arm assembly to where you need it.
