“I have a 53 lb TCL 65R625. The owner's manual states that the wall mount should be able to hold 5X the weight of the TV to avoid damage. The TV weight is obviously less than the maximum weight of 180 lbs on this mount, but what is correct? Will it hold?”

All Sanus TV mounts are tested to UL standards, which equates being able to hold 4X our stated weight for at least 15 minutes. The 180 lbs max weight on this mount has been tested to hold 4X that.
