“Has anyone verified if these drives run hot? the model before this one were running hot at 51c-54c. Other reviews verified this, so I returned both. Not sure if the new design helps with cooling this model better”

• Pretty warm, 50-57C while running SeaTools for hours testing the new drives. I bought 4, all the same story. The vent holes are on the bottom unfortunately.

• This has some slots on it but it is typical for these types of drives to run hot. This is especially true based on use and where they are kept.

• This device does not run hot. It is very noisy, but the temperature seems to run around 39 degrees. At least it did until my unit failed 6 days later.
