“My PS5 says this drive only reads @ 5500 (or something close to that) Is this normal since the drive itself is rated much faster? I’m aware PS5 won’t take advantage of the highest speeds possible but it should recognize it as faster than 5500 right ?”

• No. The ps5 reads and rates the speed that it is performing inside of the ps5 which is usually around 5300-5600. However in order for the firecuda to reach its maximum speeds of 6500-7500 u would have to install it inside of a PC. The PC allows it to reach its full potential.
