• I just received two of these from best buy. Box has model number as ST4000VNA08, drives are ST4000VN008

• ST4000VNA08 comes in retail packaging ST4000VN008 is bare drive in an anti-static bag only

• More than likely Seagate (LaCie) issues a unique ID designation for product they sell through Best Buy. Other OEM's do the same thing, Such as ASUS.
