Yes you can use the bike lane in town - just keep the speed similar to fast road bicycles to avoid drawing attention (i.e. police); It cannot be plated as there are no blinkers or brake activated tail lights. No permit or license necessary to operate. This bike is best enjoyed off-road on MTB or ATV trails - can easily keep up with many gas-powered trail bikes, without the noise!
