Perfect Mix of Agility, Speed, Torque, and Range
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed. The Segway X260 is an absolute blast to ride. I currently own a Segway C80 E-bike and now the Segway X260. In my state, the X260 classified somewhere between being an E bike and an Electric motorcycle. There is no clear law that puts it in one category or the other. So, riding it on the streets is still questionable. With that said, The X260 is everything you want an E-bike to be. In its lowest speed and torque setting, It has a perfect mix of agility, speed, torque, and operating range. In its highest speed and torque settings, it can get downright scary to ride. The built quality is top notch and the adjustable suspension is easy to customize. It has decent brakes and the ride height is perfect for both me and my daughter. (I'm 6 ft. and she is 5 ft. 7in.) However, there is one thing to be mindful of when operating this bike. Safety. I HIGHLY recommend training yourself to turn the key off every time you stop. The bike has a lot of instant torque. So, any slight accidental twist of the throttle can send you flying. ( I know from experience.) Additionally, there is one feature that is missing and I hope Segway will add it to the app in the future. This bike would benefit from having the ability to set your own speed limit. I say that because, if I want to use it as a legit E-bike, I can easily add pedals and would be able to set the speed limit to whatever my state requires. Overall, like I said in the beginning, this bike is an absolute blast to ride and I highly recommend it.

What is going on
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Hello All, This little nasty Super little girl reminds me of a little RM 80, when i was a kid back in the day… super smiles So fun so light. No sound lol the mountain bikers in S.F are tweaking..:) What is it? i call it an IPad Pro 12.9 M1 its not an MacPro its not a iphone 13pro max but an IPad Pro 12.9 M1 with the white keyboard case, oh yes This little girl is so quite and wow she jams hard. No hill she cannot climb in S.F But seriously wow only 1 complaint so far ..that is it really 74.4 mile range?? NO way No how not even close so sad but i knew it going in. so no big,but well it really gets 27 to 30 tops in S.F CA nothing a 2300 dollar battery and a 1500 dollar controller will not fix :( but i do expect the same range but with a better top end. It’s a 10k bike if you want to romp hard ..Ride in SF no hassles . I will post another review with the mods that hurt the pocket. Its awesome Ebike kind of IPad Pro 12.9 M1. Great a real good pedal mountain bike cost 5k so romp or pedal i like to romp . Romping cost but for this kind of fun its worth it Super bad worth every penny i smile when i see it and ride it. Regards, Stricker

Awesome bike.
||Posted .Owned for 3 months when reviewed. These bike are built well. I bought two and we are having a blast riding them. The service at Best Buy was great. The bikes were easy to assemble. Segway service is an issue. Concerns take forever to get addressed. I’m hoping that Segway works out their service issues.

Great fun
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed. Its like someone else here said, stop reading reviews and buy it, you won't regret it. I've put about 50 miles just exploring wooded trails in my local area - great performance, light weight, powerful - and stealthy quiet! Even keeps up with traffic on secondary roads.

Segway X-260
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Well built, nicely engineered, fun electric mountain bike. Too bad it can't be legally ridden on the street. It's expensive, but not insanely overpriced (at least at the sale price of $4417.18 including taxes). We'll have to see how well it holds up and how long the battery lasts, but, so far, we like it.

Advertised range is not true
Posted .I`m 248 lbs. Did a Range test from 100% battery to 12% netted me 40.61 miles using strava app. Rode on service road and bike paths. EP mode on 90% of fhe ride. Average speed was 12 mph. Not the advertised 76 mile range. Maybe if you were on flat road.

Segway dirtbike
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Beautiful design. Bought it during the Christmas season so the value I felt was pretty good. It was fairly easy to put it together. The delivery was less than adequate got here over a week late they would not come to my driveway. You can adjust the settings which is great. It’s a very light bike which makes it fun and agile without the gas and oil and everything it makes it very clean. The battery is great and be nice if it had a little bit more range but for the technology that we have right now I think it performs well

Q: QuestionYou do NOT list specifications for the Segway x260. Please send: Weight, seat height, tires, battery capacity, useful life on multiple charges (50%, 60%, 70%, etc.). Why should I buy this?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer How much are batteries for the x260 because I’m sure batteries will need to be replaced at least every other yr
Answered by Marshalldillon
Q: QuestionIs this an automatic bike or no ? Need to know
Asked by Yugenny.
- A:Answer yes it’s fully auto ...just like a toy car speed comes quick and you can dim the power down on your phone for the kids if you want

Asked by B.
- A:Answer Both our eBikes (X260 X160) are not designed and is not legal to be ridden on roadways. They are only created for off-road activities. Always follow local laws and regulations when riding an electric vehicle.

Q: QuestionI'm 6'4 240 am I to big for this bike?

Q: QuestionDoes this have the same upgraded “sine x-wave controller” that is being offered on the Sur Ron x bike black edition currently available for preorder at Luna? What model year is the bike on bestbuy?
Asked by T802.
- A:Answer T802, The controller on the Segway is different and the model year is 2020. Great question thank you.
Answered by Official Segway Support
Q: QuestionDo you have sur ron
Asked by Alex.
- A:Answer It’s the same bike. Surron builds this bike for Segway. It is the exact same bike with different stickers. There is not a Surron version of the x160. Surron is only sold by Luna cycles in el set undo. They Luna, are probably one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Their service is trash, they have attitude when you ask relevant questions. I would buy here, Best Buy will have way better response if there are any problems.

Q: QuestionI have new x260 with an asi bac 4000. I am running stock battery. What's the best battery for me to purchase which will accommodate this set up better? Stock battery too weak for my liking. Thank you
Asked by Ant.
This question was asked about the related product: Segway - Dirt eBike x260 w/74.6 mi Max Operating Range & 46.6 mph Max Speed - Blue
- A:Answer Your likely not going to like the answer here but you must spend about $2000 on a upgraded battery for your controllers output to be anything better then the stock controller. Here's what a lot of sellers selling asi controllers fail to tell people is that the asi bac4000 while it can output more kw the motor phase amps are actually not that much higher then the stock controllers and I have a feeling one of these days someone will hack the stock ones to get them outputting more power. I personally own 3 asi controllers from the bac855 for a bbshd ebike to the bac2000 and bac8000. I personally hate the company asi because of.how they do business and treat their customers they make it so hard to get the software to tune the controllers on the phone yet give it away for the computer so what's the big deal there u ask well I don't know. It's ridiculous. Also the stock battery only will support 80amps maybe 85 continuous before the bms will cut the power and doing a bypass only unlocks around 100-120amps max 100amps is more realistic and your going to hurt the battery pushing it any harder. They make tons of great after market batteries from many companies, ebmx, lite speed bikes, chi battery, surron shop, emoto bros all make better batteries for the surrons and segways. Go for the 72v and biggest one they make. It might stick out the top of the battery compartment but if that bothers you there's ways to hide that better by raising the seat and the latch for the battery lid a bit and removing the bottom battery tray to make more room so it will fit and retain mostly a stock look. Don't go 60v what ever you do unless that is really important to you to have that particular voltage (some people it's important for example if they plan to keep stock controller or charger) but 72v is where.you will see huge gains in speed. If you can find it (most likely hard to find) getting a higher then 72v battery is possible and your controllers capable of handling I think a max fully charged battery voltage of either 88v or 100v one of the two. The higher you can manage to get the voltage the faster your top speed will likely be while also keeping the motor cooler too.
