Most airplanes now provide the 3.5 mm jack for audio. The HD 4.5 provides the 3.5mm to 2.5mm so no extra adapter should be needed. On older planes, if you want to be on the safe side, the dual 3.5 male to female 3.5 mm should be what you need.
