“"We would like to let you know that this Robot also works to vacuum carpets." This is the response that I got when I asked "Does it work on carpet?" Sounds to me that it doesn't work on carpet but they want you to buy it anyway.”

We would like to inform you that the Shark AI Robot VACMOP vacuums not only bare floors but it also vacuums carpets. The mopping feature can only be used on barefloors.

When you have the mop on it will only do hard surfaces so that is probably what led to the cryptic response. I've had one for several weeks and it does great on carpets. I try to turn mine up to MAX suction and it cleans as well as our upright vacuum and picks up a lot into the bin. Also the beater bar is different because it is supposed to keep hair from wrapping. It seems to work well at that and cleans the carpets just as well as our 'oldschool' bristled bar vacuum.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The beater bar on this doesn't look like it's meant to get into the fibers of the carpet. I don't have it vacuum mine, I have it only for the hard floors.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have owned one for a couple weeks now and I can say that it works excellently on carpets as well as floors. The mopping function is aittle underwhelming. It won't get anything up that needs scrubbing, but it keep the floors clean if they just need a regularly scheduled wash.
