what may cause the beater bar to stop rotating ? null

Power button has a full on position and a beater bar off position.

dirty filter, clean the top filter...

Things like dog hair and string and loose yarns. It is best to clean the roller after every use.

The on/of switch has 3 positions. Off position, second position (no beater bar) and third position with the beater bar.

3 settings beater bar on beater bar off or off belt came off possibly?
