• I recommend you get a higher end model. I tried this Shark and it barely got my pets hair up. My older Shark which I paid $499 for works better. Hope that helps!

• Yes - we have visiting Labrador granddogs and our Shark suctions up their shedded fur very effectively / can tell by checking the canister. Also the other day one of the pups left muddy paw prints on Berber carpet that the Shark suctioned right up without need for pulling out our backup carpet scrubbing machine.
