• We would like to let you know that you can use this unit without the odor cartridge, you just need to ensure that the Odor Neutralizer Tech Intensity Dial is in place.

• The holder for the fragrance disc must be attached for the machine to function. But the disc can be removed. I agree, the fragrance is dreadful. The unit works well without the fragrance disc.
