• It is not retractable, but trust me that is a small thing to sacrifice for how amazing this vacuum is. Best vacuum I've ever owned in 40 years of buying vacuums! Including expensive water filtration vacuums! Strongest suction ever

• Unfortunately, the cord does not retract. It stays in place with 2 plastic hooks on the back of the vacuum.
