• Yes this vacuum is great for wood/laminate! That’s what the majority of our house is and it actually helps polish the floor! Also when you first turn the vertex on it is on hard surface by default so you don’t even need to turn the carpet mode on!

• I have both laminate and area rugs, it works well on both. Really picks up everything. It has not scratched my floors at all.
