Sure, no problem. You could do it four ways. 1) the coax cable out from the box screwed onto the back of the tv. 2) an HDMI cable out from the box (if available) to the tv. 3) a red/white/yellow RCA cable from the box(if available) to the tv. 4) there is a Directv app in the Roku channels that you use your current Directv account info to access. Download the manual, all options are explained with diagrams.
