HOW DO YOU CHANGE FROM HIGH POWER TO 30%. null

My microwave does not respond at all with the POWER LEVEL button alone.. or in combination with the keypad as instructions tell us.. Here is what Customer service told me to do and it's a pain but it works 1. press: TIME COOK 2.Set amount of cooking time you desire on keypad 3. Press POWER LEVEL 4. Chose desired Power Level number on the keypad 5.( Default is PL-10) 6. Press POWER LEVEL 7. Press desired power level on number keypad
