Hello, the SMC1131CW microwave oven is a 1000 watts unit.

Go with the answer from Sharp. It's 1,000 watts. I think the other person made a typo at 100 watts. By comparison, the last two microwaves I owned were much larger and I had to melt a half-stick of butter for 30 seconds on regular (high) power. I was surprised that this little microwave (still easily fits a full-sized plate of food) was able to do the same in about 17 seconds. It's powerful for its size. I am very pleased with mine.
