When you buy the card, it's good for a 30 days or whenever you use up all the data, whichever comes first. You don't need to reload if you don't use the plan. I just recently reloaded the card, it cost a little more than the original $35.

Just use when you need it .. reset of your data you will lose every month.

If you don't reload it every couple of months simply mobile will deactivate your sim card and you will have to purchase a new one to be able to use it. Just happened to me after not using for the winter.
