It's your choice. Via the SimpliSafe control panel, you can choose to automatically lock or not when the alarm is armed (with separate options for Home and Away), and whether or not it is automatically unlocked when the system is disarmed. You can also choose to have it lock automatically when the door is closed (or not at all),
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.By default, the Smart Lock will unlock when the main system is disarmed from Away Mode. So of course, designed so that it unlocks when you come home, and only need to enter your PIN once. It should not be unlocking when you disarm from Home Mode. And if you lock it manually, it should stay locked until you arm in Away Mode again. You can change all of this behavior in the Settings, in the SimpliSafe app.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It stays locked unless you open it when it's off, you can set up silent notifications for when it's opened or closed when it's off... The only other reason it would open when it's off is if you have it set to unlock when the alarm is turned off... You could add a second and third layer of security by adding a simplisafe pro doorbell camera and having a locked storm door... Not certain of I answered your question, but tried...
