You can opt for the system to either trigger a notification, send a text message, or both.

I’m set up with their cloud and I get notifications. I don’t get texts. I like the notifications more. All I have to do is hit the notification and it opens the app on the camera or door bell that sensed the movement.

Somehow simplisafe camera does not send text messages but the simplisafe app sneds notifications in your phone if you enabled notifications.

If you have a subscription, it sends a text when it senses motion and a text when someone rings the doorbell.
