“Does this mike have to be plugged in to anything or is it totally portable”

Hello and Thank you for your interest in the Singing Machine Wireless Microphone. We truly value and appreciate your interest in our products. The wireless microphone is a standard microphone. You MUST connect the receiver pack into a standard 6.3MM Microphone Jack or it will not work. We hope this information is helpful to you.
