You need a fairly robust upload speed to send the signal out, download speed not as important on box end, although it would affect how quickly the box at home responds to remote commands. More important is download speed on receiving end. As bandwidth goes down, so does picture quality. It will work, but depends on whether you like the picture.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depending on where you are and the signal strength you get with your MiFi, you should be able to get the HD quality from your Slingbox. With my phone, I've had data speeds upwards of 20 Mb/s with Verizon 4G LTE and have been able to view the HD quality using the Slingbox app when riding in the car, so you shouldn't have any problems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I was up in Cooperstown, NY a few weeks ago over 200 miles from home and with my Verizon 4g Mi-Fi I was watching a baseball game from home and there was no time lag between it and the cable TV in my room at the hotel. I have FIOS at home and still access the HD channels through the Mi-Fi if there is any buffering due to a week signal you can reduce the quality of the picture on your remote device and it works fine.
