• Yes. Its not the OS as much as the Cable TV box that the slingbox remote has to control to change channels etc.

• To my knowledge, the Comcast OS does not have any direct bearing on the function of the Slingbox. The Slingbox interfaces with the Comcast box via an ir transmitter for inputs to the Comcast box and the input to the the Slingbox from the comcast box is either component or hdmi.
