My Slingbox 500 is connected to a DirecTV Genie DVR. I can do everything remotely that I can do when I'm sitting at home in front of the system. In my setup, when I connect remotely I have full access all of the DirecTV remote control functions so I can stream anything in my playlist, delete anything in my playlist, fast forward, rewind, pause, add new shows to record, etc.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. Any function on your remote control can be used as the slingbox mimics your actual remote onscreen. I have DirecTV and it works fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Whatever you can do the remote you can do over the slingbox. But each button press has a delay which would make that kind of operation tedious and frustrating. TIVO and most cable providers let you do this through a browser. That interface tops the remote control.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes AND No. If you can edit your playlist on the DVR that you currently use, then you can with the Slingbox. If you can't do that on your current DVR, then you can't via the Slingbox either. The Slingbox allows you to access your current TV setup (and view it), over the internet. You will have a virtual remote control that should be able to do everything that your current remote control does.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Anything you can do with your cable box / remote you can do with the slingbox. The software gives you a remote that works like the one you use at home. Buy one and you will be siked
