Hi, Thank you for your question. Yes, if the area where you want to place the subwoofer is concrete, it can be installed in a planter as long as there is adequate drainage and the planter is filled with soil or similar landscaping material. The subwoofer is designed to be partially buried, leaving approximately 5 inches between the bottom of the canopy and the soil line, making a planter a great alternative when in-ground installation is not possible.
