Hi, Thank you for your question! The Sonance VX62 speakers are designed for indoor use only and are not recommended for outdoor environments, even if the area is covered. Exposure to salt air and humidity can cause damage to the speaker components over time. For outdoor spaces exposed to the elements or salt air, we recommend using the Sonance Extreme Series (like the VXXT6) outdoor speakers that are specifically engineered to handle these conditions.
