• Yes, you can control the beam vis the sonos app the same as the connect.

• I have the Beam separate and when I want to integrate the speakers connected via the connect, I just integrate them via the Room on the Sonos app and add them to the group.

• Having recently purchased the Sonos Beam I can tell you that the Sonos Connect is not included.
