• Hi, and thanks for reaching out. This adapter is made to output sound from the Tv using optical and through HDMI to one of our soundbars. So the way it's designed it would have to go Optical to HDMI, not the other way around which is what you would need in this situation. We can't confirm though that it wouldn't work for what it's worth.
