This is designed to be used with Sonos components that have an HDMI input (Amp, Arc Soundbar, etc). If your speakers are being powered by the current generation Sonos Amp or Sonos soundbar, then this adapter will work. But the TV you have is equipped with HDMI ARC and could be directly connected to an HDMI equipped Sonos component without needing this adapter.
