One downward-firing tweeter creates a crisp high-frequency and ultra-wide soundstage. One midwoofer ensures faithful playback of mid-range frequencies and maximizes low-end output.

The mid woofer is a mid range speaker that's designed to also hit lower frequencies of sub woofer. So 2 total speakers making sounds. We hope this helps!
