Have you looked at the Sonos Beam? I know that you said you don't have room for a soundbar but the beam is relatively small and can be wall mounted if you prefer. You can use almost any bluetooth powered speaker with aux inputs but your best bet for sound is using something designed for TV. Most bluetooth speakers wont give you the depth that you will likely be looking for unless they are larger. But that brings us back to your space issue. I recommend taking a picture of your set up to your local store and having the home audio specialist help you make the best choice for your situation. There are many space saving designs out there.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Sonos sound bar has an optical connector for connecting to the TV sound output. The Play:1 and other Sonos speakers have only a network connector on them. So, I do not believe this is what you want. The sound bar can be wall mounted if that would help you solve your space problem.

If u do, this speaker is amazing even by itself. Using sonos app, you can use a music service(spotify,pandora,etc..) or play downloaded music from your phone without bluetooth limits. Check out some YouTube videos on Sonos. I went with sonos because I can always add more speakers to my system and the sound is amazing...better than Bose per my opinion. If this is not for you, than look at JBL bluetooth units. They have bluetooth capabilities.
