Yes - this speaker will connect to any Sonos system and will act as another TV speaker to work with the Beam soundbar. You could have a Sonos Roam speaker right by your head to augment the soundbar audio from your TV and hear voices clearly without having to crank up the soundbar too loud.

If you have the Sonos Beam, we have a feature in the app called speech enhancement and it's incredibly easy to use. On the main screen of the Beam, you'll see a little button that looks like a speech box to the left of the volume slider. Press that and it will turn on the speech enhance feature. This will turn up just the center sounds where the dialog is coming from. So you can hear dialog better without having to turn up the whole volume. However, the answer to your question is also "Yes". You can group Roam with Beam to play the same thing.
