• It screws in from the bottom. Very easy to remove actually.

• Horizontally. It can easily be removed if you don't secure it with the available screws.

• Yes it can. Attached to the bottom with 2 screws

• Yes it can be removed easily, two screws from underneath hold it on that can be unscrewed.
