Hi there! You cannot see what you are shooting using the Action Cam alone. The Live-View Remote allows you to see what you are shooting. However, this is not waterproof. Check here for more details: http://helpguide.sony.net/cam/1640/v1/en/contents/TP0001109421.html. Regards, Vincent
