Does this lens work for a Sony A7 ? null

It has the correct mount although I believe the A7 is full frame. I use the 6500 which is a Exmor CMOS sensor (not full frame) so in short to answer your question you’ll have to use crop setting when using this lens or post edit and crop the photos after. The light coming through the lens won’t cover the sensor entirely. I highly suggest buying a full frame lens if you have a full frame camera. Even I’ll buy full frame lenses for my crop senor camera. Knowing I’ll eventually upgrade my camera the plan is to stay with Sony. And full frame would be the upgrade for my camera series.

Hi Kris, this lens will work with Sony A7 with some exceptions listed below. - The SteadyShot is not supported. - The angle of view will be narrower down to that of APS-C size. - Fast Hybrid AF is available with the lens system software Ver.02 or later.
