“What is the best way to connect 7.1 home theater that doesn't support eARC (on receiver output)? Currently am using digital optic input/output which allows me to listen to TV through home theater. Not prepared to buy new 7.1 receiver with eARC output.”

Note: Digital optical cable can support surround sound with up to 5.1 channels The best way to enjoy 7.1 surround sound is by connecting the TV to a receiver/home theater system via HDMI ARC connection.
