In terms of upscaling a cable box that operates in 1080i, or getting a source of picture via an app or steaming service that’s 1080p to 4K… that’s going to be a no. Now if you have a streaming service that operates in 4K behind a paywall, then that (along with having Blu-Ray discs that are in 4K, or a current gen gaming console) is the only way you will get a true 4K experience on this television. So your television watching experience will be what it’s always been, 1080i, unless you pay to stream in 4K via being a cord cutter.
