Try programming it to dvd, or amp. I use this remote for my 200 watt sony surround sound. & its at least 10 years old or so.

Please follow these steps: While pressing the SET button, press the POWER button > press the AMP button > press the VOL+ > Press ENT button. The volume control settings is changed to " receiver / amplifier" of the AMP button while selecting any component. Dave
