Dog ate same remote so i replaced it again with this item. I always buy Sony items. you can argue if there the best but it always makes reprogramming and interfacing items easier when they are the same manufacturer. Only reason not 5 star is the numbers for programming remote are printed way to small

The good: The triple LED signal source is effective! This remote is excellent at the "line of sight" game played by all IR remotes. Very good at hitting the reception point on products! It seems to be a little quirky at controlling both your source functions AND doing the volume on the receiver at the same time. It seemed to get better with use though. Needs work/adjustment there and no backlighting! Never going to happen if I was in engineering there! Now having said that it's cheap! (retails $15 range!) Maybe too cheap! Slap $19.95 or $24.95 on this sucker and do it right, Sony! Still, it works! Not difficult to program, IMO, either. No "Game" function but had one for VCR? I thought that odd.

I didn't think it would be better than the original remote that came with my Sony bravo TV. Multi functionality remote.

After two weeks of use this device reset itself and left us with most buttons inoperable. It had to be set up again.

I had to replace a remote for my Blue ray player and picked this one. It was easy to set up and worked great. It has a greater range than the original remotes that I replaced with it. It works great with our TV and Blue ray player.

It worked right out of the package with both my Sony TV that I found on the sidewalk without its original remote and my Motorola cable box from Time Warner Cable. No programming needed for me! I wanted this remote so I could switch over to the antenna and watch over-the-air digital channels in the event of a cable outage. I recommend this remote for anyone who is not exactly tech-savvy that owns a Sony TV and/or other Sony equipment without its original remote. No need to reprogram it by entering codes, which I can do in a heartbeat but not everyone can.

I own an 6 year old Sony TV, which has a TV controller where most of the buttons don't work anymore. When I went to Sony website to find the actual replacement control for my TV, I was surprised to see that it would have cost me more than $70 USD. Anyhow, I am glad I only paid less that $18 USD for this one which have most of the functionality of the original Sony TV controller.

Easy to operate, good features, and great performance.

Had to replace a Genuine Original Sony Remote that got dropped too many times with this one. Setup was easy but I don't like the placement of some of the buttons. The Menu, Recall & Muting Buttons are all the same shape & too close together. Would have been nice if one of the buttons was Round to help differentiate.

I needed a remote for a Sony TV. I did a search found this remote online at Best Buy. The price was good especially with the $10 reward certificate I used towards it. The remote worked right out of the box as I hoped it would since I was using on a Sony TV. I have no complaints with the remote.

I purchased this product hoping it would resolve "Sony Madness". I have a new Sony TV, Receiver & Blue-ray Player. The remotes that came with each product are incompatible, and apparently not programmable. Worse, the remote from one product causes unanticipated changes in the other products. I expected the Sony 7-Function Programmable Remote to help me resolve this issue. No such luck. Biggest frustration is that I cannot use the Sony Product Model Numbers to correctly set it. I still have to wade through multiple Remote Codes to identify the correct one for a known Sony product. This was not the case 10 years ago; there were on-line look-up tables on the Sony Website. Yes, this product works, and yes it's better than nothing. BUT frustrating none the less!

My old Sony remote for my Sony HDTV stopped working after about 10 years, so I bought this remote to replace the old one. It's working perfectly. The price was very reasonable too. I was expecting $100, but it was 1/5 of the price. It can control other devices such as DVD/BD. I'm glad Sony is selling this remote.

easy to set up with other components. All the functions works perfectly. The company has send me the item in good condition and fast delivery. the control can be program for all types of televisions and stereo components as well as the DVD and VCR and other gaming devices. I recommend this unit to a friend.

Sony remote works great, I purchased for an old Sony Bravio TV in which the old remote died. The new remote worked instantly out of the package, I didn’t have to program it, plus it also works with other products other than Sony. It’s worth the money.

The original remote for my Blu Ray player was failing, the volume buttons hadn't worked in quite a while and the other buttons were beginning to quit working also. This remote was easy to program for the BluRay, TV, and Cable box. Works great

I broke my remote for my Sony Bravia tv. Rather than order a replacement, I went to Best Buy and purchased this. It is perfect for me. It retains all the functionality of my previous remote. And for only $20, the price can't be beat.

I needed to replace the old controllers for both my Sony TV and BluRay. This one does both, AND into the bargain, also controls the Cable. Works well, and I can control everything with just a few clicks. Control has a good feel, so you can tell what you're pressing without looking with a little practice. I'm pretty happy with it -- I would even consider getting one if I had all new equipment because you wouldn't have to juggle multiple controllers. Price was right, too. Go for it!!.

This remote worked as advertised. Took just a couple of minutes to setup and get it working. Good value for the money.
