This universal remote was purchased only because it was the only one available in the store that was listed as compatible with the manufacturer of my TV. It does change the volume, channels, and the AV inputs just fine. However it does not change the HDMI inputs (or I haven't figured out how to do it). Changing some of the other settings, like the display is a little bit complicated as well. I do have a completely off brand TV (Sceptre). So that might be why this remote doesn't work super well. Like I originally stated, it was the only remote in the store that was listed as being compatible with my brand.

It worked great with the t.v. and blu-ray the problem came with the stereo we couldnt work some of the speaker features so we had to return it. Other then that It was great!

I needed a remote control for my Sony television. I knew that Best Buy would have just the remote for me, and they did! It adapted easily with no issues or problems.

I am very happy with this remote. The remote was lost for my old receiver and I needed/wanted something. It was very easy to set up for my receiver, satellite cable box and Wii.

Purchased this for my daughter as one of her children accidentally threw original Sony B Ray player remote in garbage. Went to Best Buy in hopes of finding a replacement. The salesman said they did not have a single purpose Sony remote, but this Universal Sony remote is very popular. It was priced very reasonably at about $20, so I purchased. It worked as promised. I programmed her BluRay, VHS player, and TV. I think it was a great purchase!

I purchased this all-in-one remote to consolidate my 4 remotes (plus room for additional devices should that need arise). So far, it has worked just fine. The fact that it was a Sony remote helped since it was already programmed to work with all my Sony devices.

my son broke my original tv control from the new 4K sony and i thaught this would cost a lot to replace, but this remote is at a good price and does the work

Started out by purchasing a RCA universal remote. No go. Exchanged it for the Sony. Worked like a charm. I did the option where you let it surf for the correct code automatically. Worked on my Mom's Insignia we purchased for her a few years ago.

Had to replace a remote for a sony tv that was about five to seven years old because of wear and tear. New remote was easy to program and all the functions work

I have a mixed bag of equipment w/several different brands. This remote did the trick for all of them easily.

This remote is a good middle of the road remote. It works well, is easy to read, lightweight and comes with very complete directions in several languages.

Was difficult to program with my Vizio but manage to do so. Simple to use afterwards. Would recommend if you want to reduce the # of multiple remotes.

This remote control was very easy to set up and maneuver through the functions it was so good this is the second one I have purchased in the last few months this one went to a friend and he is enjoying it as I speak right now

Used it to replace a cable company remote. Works great was easy to set up and make work. The only issue someone might have is if they have fat fingers as the buttons to program were a little close but I still give it 5 stars.

I was finally able to get rid of my volume remote, my roku remote and my stock TV remote. This thing works great and was easy to program.

works well, bigger than I needed, but we don't lose it as much as the previous remote.. I was not a fan of the set up but I got it to work.

Had a little issue to setup with my old Sony home theater system but I after I called support team they help me and it’s start working in 2 min. Really enjoying this product.its works with my tv also.

I wasn't able to use this for my own device I was trying to connect it to because my device was too old, but the remote had good features.

Was not looking forward to having to read instructions and input codes. To my Surprise I just put the batteries in, tried turning on my TV and it Worked! Tried my DVD player and iIt came on!! Samsung ty for thinking of me.

This remotes can run my TV, blue ray, cable box and surround sound system with ease. Programing the remote took some time so be patience .
