“I have only seen images of the remote control. It looks similar to Firestick and Roku remotes. I see play and pause buttons but no fast forward or rewind buttons. Am I missing something? How do you perform those functions?”

For rewind or fast forward, if you are inside an app/streaming app of the TV, rewind and fast forward can be controlled by either pressing the left or right directional buttons and pause/play using the center button of the remote. Please note that we cannot guarantee if these buttons will also work if you're watching from another source/input device.
