“How tall is this TV with out the stand. i.e. I need to knw the distance from the center of the wall support on the back to the bottom of the TV so it doesn't hit the mantel.”

If you are looking to figure out the distance from the center position of the TV screen to the bottom edge of the TV (without the TV stand), it is approx. 20 inch (507.3 mm). The distance from the top mounting holes to the bottom edge of the TV is approx. 16.52 inch (419.6 mm). Product dimensions are also available on the Sony support website.
