This unit does not have in body stabilization, we recommend using a lens with optical stabilization. Mirroless camera indicates the image that is seen by the sensor is being fed directly to the viewfinder electronically and is not being reflected through a mirror like the old DSLR style bodies. The camera is able to take images a lot faster without a mirror.

I purchased a small cheep tripod 10 years ago and it has been great to have if needed for family pictures, but lives in my closet most of the year. Unlike with bigger cameras, I really don't see another use for a tripod.
