“I'm planning on going to New York for traveling. I want to take pictures throughout the city. What lens do you recommend for traveling and everyday use? I've been told 35mm f1.8 is a good option. Or should I invest more money and get the sony e 10-18 f4?”

The 35 will be fine. If you want to get real creative get a fish eye lens. I did that at times square. Looks so cool. Also don't forget to use the panorama shooting for long line shots.

The great things about this lens is it is small so you can carry the camera and lens in a jacket pocket and it's stabilized. I used the A6000 and kit lens to do street photography in NYC and it was great, even at night.
