I don't see why it wouldn't.. I would suggest looking at units that are made for boats specifically though. I don't think this has any kind of water protection.

Hi Susan, It is possible to have the Sony car stereo systems installed in a boat. However, Sony recommends that the installation is completed by a professional and qualified installer. There should be some reasonable precautions taken to install these products in an enclosure that will prevent exposure to water damage. -Jerome
